Early Mornings
I hate early mornings, First the alarm goes beep beep, And this wakes me from my sleep, Then it is time to get up and gather my things. I always comb my hair, And I always brush my teeth, And put shoes and socks on my feet, I am running late now which I fear. Now it is time for breakfast, I stuff a sour apple in my face, As my dad yells pick up the pace, Now it is time to head to school and I must move fast. This occurs every early morning, I know the routine like the back of my hand, For it occurs every day when there isn’t any light, I rush so fast I am afraid my feet might take flight It is so dark, dull and quiet, It feels like it is still midnight, Until finally I see an orangey light, Finally, my early morning is almost over.
