Too Late
  I saw you today.
  I expected you to
  Say something,
  Anything,
  But you brushed
  By me.
  Even shrinking back,
  Like i was a disease.
  Like nothing
  Ever happened
  Between us.
  But something did.
  And you know it.
  You and I…
  It’s complicated.
  I loved you.
  You swore up
  And down that
  You loved me too.
  But the proof of your
  Love had cracks.
  Places where
  I could see through
  Your lies and disguise.
  You looked different
  Today.
  Like you hadn’t slept
  In years. Like you
  Missed me.
  The look, in your eyes,
  It didn’t shine like gold.
  It was an empty look.
  Like you weren’t
  Alive.
  Well, it’s too late.
  I’m just as dead.
