Gone Was the Happiness
Her life is consumed with great despair.
The girl in the raggedy red dress stumbled
as she walked away from the lifeless cemetery.
A tear kisses her soft cheek,
slowly it trickles down her face.
She walks with a bent head,
peering straight down.
Her big blue eyes on the cold tiny pebbles—
some would call a road.
It was not like her to be this way.
She was as grim as the storm clouds.
The tears of joy changed,
to a rapid river streaming down her face.
Gone was the happiness,
that brought the shine to her eyes,
and pleasure to people around her.
