Is life like the rain
sometimes steady, often offbeat
sometimes to heavy to bear
and sometimes just an annoyance by our feet
Is friendship like the sun
The warm feeling that makes us forget
All that rain that got in our way,
That we were ever soaking wet
Can this be explained so simply
That mother nature's got it down
Are we still deep in our personal rain
To notice the little bits of sunshine all around
