Cupid's Arrow
Cupid’s Arrow
I feel the young God grabbing at my feet
While trying to pull me out of his quiver.
He searches for a couple like a predator stalks its prey.
He brings his bow back around to the front of his body,
Put me into place and pulled back the string.
He let go of the bowl and it made a loud snap.
I flew through the air to who knows where,
And I didn’t even care.
I hit the poor boy faster than a freight train,
But at least I fulfilled my duty of instilling eternal love.
