Goodbye
I stood in the rocky driveway
looking into the orange and pink sunset
wonder why he had to..
to say..
to say goodbye?
goodbye is one of my least favorite words
because,
because you know you might
Never!
get to see them again,
get to talk them again,
or even
get to touch their wrinkly old skin again.
It’s sad to think they’re leaving you
..literally..
when they’re gone
they’re gone.
and you only have one word left to say
to that one certain person
which is the most important last word.
goodbye…
you say goodbye to all the memories
you say goodbye to all the fun
but most of all
you say good bye to the future with that person
goodbye
goodbye
goodbye
it repeats in my head just like lyrics to a song
goodbye
goodbye
goodbye
to you and me forever..
