The hospital drifted away in the distance
frozen in time
the seconds tick by but I stay in my solitaire state
I gaze down at my badly beaten leg
a mournful frown across my face.
my knee is tightly wound with bandages
and secured by a full leg cast
A constant tapping sound
that delivers pain to my forehead
bring my out of my slumber state
as if a woodpecker is jabbing at my head
my head rolls over against the headrest
as my mind drifts, it feels as if my body slowly departs from earth
