Why are you so rude
You don’t know what I am going through
Even if I always smile around you
Doesn’t mean I’m not dying on the inside
I don’t want to hear your dirty words
The breath you waste on rumors
Go build your confidence
Don’t tear down mine
Why are you so mean
You don’t know what’s happening
I know you don’t care about this
But I hope you think about it
Because I am talking to all of you
Why are you so hurtful
So full of hate and mean words
Please go build yourself up
Without tearing everyone else down
Just because they think it’s cool
Doesn’t mean it’s good for you
You are just living to impress
Start living to really live, to love
And to enjoy yourself without feeling bad
Without knowing you did it wrong
Why are you so doubting
Saying that I can’t do it
Well I can do it
I just did
I’m telling you that you are wrong
And that I’ve had enough
I can sing
I can play sports
I can love and I can make my true friends smile
I can care but care less about you
But I don’t know if you can
Truly make them laugh
Would they stop being your friends
If you changed
If you hung out with different people and did different things
Would they leave if you said no to their mean jokes
Or if you did the right thing for once
Listen to me
Your words go deep
But now that I have learned to deflect them
You are wasting your breath
With your words of hate and jealousy
About me and my friends
Yours words make you cool
But your friends are not true
Stop disgusting me
With the same old you
Why are you so full of hate
I know I’m worth more than all of that
Stop trying to make me feel small
Just so you can feel big
I will pray for you
I hope that you start caring
And I hope you know God loves you
He loves me too
So I guess that means I should love you
Well I will try
At least I don’t say pointless rumors about you
I won’t waste my breath
Like you
I won’t stoop down to your level
But maybe you can rise up to the person God wants you to be
So thank you for teaching me
Who I don’t want to be

I was inspired to write this poem by my classmates and all of the people who ever wasted their time and breath saying mean, pointless, meaningless rumors that are not true about me and my real friends.

Jess, my bae, this is soo good!! I love it! I can understand and relate so well. I really don't like rude people who just say things to get attention. Its pointless. Why would anyone want that kind of attention, ya know? Anyway, you have an amazing talent, this gave me a nice mental picture of it all. Keep writing, love :)
