The First Scary Night in October
The First Scary Night in October
Laughter, Talking, and Screaming
filled the stadium that night in October
2:00 minutes left in the blowout against Ogemaw
when all of a sudden…
SNAP,
CRACK,
POP,
is all everyone could hear
when the stadium went silent
No one spoke
as I laid there
it made a library seem loud
I couldn’t move
I didn’t want to
I just wanted to pass out
and wake up from this nightmare
After ten minutes
of laying and screaming in pain
I got rushed to the hospital
to immediately get on morphine
and get X-Rays
The next day I had surgery
and received metal plates and screws
to only receive more bad news…
Which was that I couldn’t walk ,
for three months!
But when the time
finally arrived…
I COULD WALK AGAIN
and went right back
to playing football for John Glenn!
