Catching Fire
Fire is dangerous. We are not supposed to play with it. We could get burnt. We have heard that since we were children, but what happens when you are in the middle of a fire? It is a deadly game between life and death, right or wrong. A game you have no control over. You are just a piece in that puzzle. Force to moving in an opposite direction than that which you want to go.
You seem to be constantly moving away from the one thing that you want more than anything: Freedom. If you fight, you are burnt in the unbearable fire that surrounds you. This, a game you desperately want to quit, but you have no choice in the matter. You’re never getting out no, matter how loud you scream or how much you beg for freedom, because you see no chance. If there is a way to escape, no one has ever found it.
It seems like you are stuck until you catch sight of that tiny piece of hope. The only thing you can hang on to, a memory, thought, or a dream. You keep the hope with you, never letting it go. You keep looking for a way out. Searching every place you pass, until at last you find it. The small opportunity to get away, the one place where there is no fire. It is just wide enough to run through. You take the chance and run like never before. When everything you have ever wanted fell into place you realize that you have to keep a secret to stay away.
