Life's A Beach
I walk on the soft nude sand.
My feet burning with each step.
Oh how gently it sweeps over my toes.
I lay next to the rainbow umbrella.
My nose inhaling the scent of salt and sea spray,
And my ears hearkening to the sea gull's piercing screech.
My mind is at peace with the world.
No school or nagging mother.
Just me and the cool summer breeze.
I take a peek at the children happily playing.
Envy filled me as I watched their innocence.
Oh how I wish everyday was like this.
