Ignorant Blindness
My heart's drowning
in it's own love for you,
because I don't
see you,
but merely love you,
blindly,
I only hear
sweet and soft words
that come slithering off
your ever so sour,
endlessly kissable lips,
somehow I don't see
the arm,
that once joined
my body to yours,
cocooning her fragile hips,
the hand that brushed across my face,
now wiping away tears
off another's pale cheek,
lips that seeped poison
into my innocent lips,
connecting with a different pair,
that aren't my own,
breathing lies into her
untouched soul,
on occasions though,
I'll catch a taste
of foreign lips
or a whiff of an unkown perfume,
my curiostiy sparks,
but my blindness has become ignorance,
and slowly smothers those unkowns.
