For My Brothers and Sisters
For My Brothers and Sisters
An ode to brothers and sisters.
For being your partners in crime when you need them most.
For being family even if they're not blood.
For having the warmth you need when your heart is lacking.
Always ready to have your back in any situation because “It’s just what we do.”.
Always ready to encourage your stupidity because “It’s just what we do.”.
Always ready to put you in your place when you’re getting out of hand because “It’s just what we do.”.
For being the half-time pep talk in the middle of your horrid day.
For being there to say sorry after a late night scream fest.
For being the only ones to truly understand your “Uniqueness”.
Always holding your hand during a heart-break because “It’s just what we do.”.
Always needing you as much as you need them because “It’s just what we do.”.
Always being better than friends because “It’s just what we do.”.
Brothers and sisters complete us, even if their not related by blood they’re related by the experiences that make up who we are. They are always there for me when I need them and in this world thats a rarity and it means a lot to me. So heres to you brothers and sisters, for being who you are and always doing what you do.
