Destruction of Envy

October 14, 2014

Jealously is like melting ice
How it ebbs and flows
Slowly, then all at once
You are ashamed,
Because, why not you?
Why me?
Why?
Why?
Why?
And your vision is greened
Dark, dark envious green
It builds like wild fire
Billowing and gathering
Intensifying
Flying sparks catch in the buffeting winds
And breezes
The drip drops
And plip plops
Of the melting ice
Until,
The ice creeks,
then cracks,
with the weight of time
All feelings fly free
Like leaves blowing up into the crisp sky
Its all up in the air
Then,
There is nothing
The silence of the stone-heart
Is almost
Unsettling.

I wrote this when I was in a very frustrated mood and just needed to let it out, it relates deeply wth my life right now. I hope people can relate to this and make understand how it actually feels to be jealous.
