The stars on my ceiling

& the truth of my feelings 

are exactly the same. 

They fall fast while appealing

the vast amount of people who stay 

& maintain. 

Except stars make me feel alive

while you make me want to die. 

Anyways, you?ve pushed me so low

I have nothing to do but rise. 

Surprise, surprise, look who?s here,

the man who lies when he?s in fear. 

Not so much a man at all,

more like one who only withdraws

when the word responsibility enters the picture.

Mixture of feelings is what you have 

left me with.
Make sure to not pay before you leave tip.

Face it, that?s what your life is. 

Bail now? That?s righteous.

Might just avoid the consequence.

Riiiight? It?s just the opposite.

But the good thing is

one day, I?ll find someone who 

uses actions to back up words

& forces my distractions to be blurred.

Who spends time knowing me

even when it seems absurd

& to whom I won?t be deferred.

See you might?ve made me happy

& feel like I was in a sappy love story,

but in reality you just love glory. 

If you were a part of nature

you?d be a tornado the way you

pick things up to slam them back down.

A quick fling?s fun until you act like a clown. 

Although I am at peace & somewhat

in pieces,

my love for myself only increases

the more I release you.
