Destruction
I go home despaired and moping,
Forced to lie on my bed, tired and hoping,
Thinking that tomorrow will be better than today,
To play the sport I love,
Only to be self-destructive by my failures,
Wanting only success, no perfection,
Seeing a compromised man in my reflection,
Becoming lonely as I stare at the ceiling,
Hoping for healing and a loss of the feeling of pain
Waiting for the rain
I lie there on the soft bed
Feeling comfort and relaxation
Only to become determined for the next day
To make tomorrow better than today
