It's a roiling, rumbling sea,

A wave that builds up and up and up

Suddenly crashing down around you

It is an unexpected volcanic eruption

Burning

Blistering

Leaving destruction in its wake

It is rain for a drought ridden desert

Soothing, blissful, and needed

But not within grasp

It is an almighty hurricane,

It is the tender wind, caressing like an old friend

It is the quaking earth, making the strongest tremble beneath it

It is pure, crystalline snow

It is a diluted, muddy river

Sometimes we need it

Craving the soothing waters on a dry, desolate beach

Sometimes it's unwanted

A great flood, washing away all in its path

It can be thrust upon you

Unexpected

Or slowly, steadily build,

A storm in the making

I hope that people will take from this piece that love can be good or it can be bad, wanted or unwanted, healing or destructive.
