A girl in her room, Tv turned up loud to block out
Yelling. Parents arguing back and forth,
“You don’t know how to treat me”
“You don’t pay any bills, you stay out all night”
Constant yelling, unhappy home
Nowhere to go
I’m the girl, the daughter of those two parents

A girl who smoke all her pain away,
Thinking that the arguing is her fault,
On probation for petty mistakes
Stealing, Lying, Disrespect becomes,
Life. Not happy without a reason
Hate for the world &,
All people in it.
Smoking is the temporary solution to numb the constant pain.

Life’s boring,
Partying. Smoking. Drinking
Without it depression comes,
No one to turn to,
No one to care.
Laughing to keep from crying,
Smiling to keep from questions
Fake Facades.

Church. Probation. Therapy.
Finally helped,
  A lot to learn,
A  lot to live for.
I’m here and living
Tough times always happen,
Choose to get through them.
