Black circle, yellow square
Darkness dresses light
A terror transformation,
An abrupt end to flight.

Black circle, yellow square
A shadow takes on life
He’s darting down the street now,
His forefinger a knife.

Black circle, yellow square
Unable to amend
You’ve no eternal epilogue,
The end is just the end.

Yellow circle, black square
We sing—“Triumphant birth!”
You shake the hands of Power,
and Victory and Worth.

Yellow circle, black square
You know from where you came
To you the soot clings statically,
Yet solace slaughters shame.

Yellow circle, black square
Revival of the heart
Then words, which roar like thunder:
The end is just the start.
