Coach tells me the play,
Knowing its the last time
Running to my huddle
Looking confident
Telling teammates the play
Knowing it’s the last time,
“Left texas 331 star on 1.”
Scoreboard read :06 and said visitors 13, home 14
Knowing we had to score,
My heart was ticking like a time bomb,
But I knew I could win so I won’t give up.
Say my cals, “Ready, set, go!”
The ball is snapped,
My fingers, cold as ice
Drop back,
American Flag dancing like human arms
Roll out,
See my receiver and throw it,
Knowing it’s the last time
And.....
