Stupid Ball!
STUPID BALL!
I’m at the park,
yelling,”Why can’t I hit the bark?”
I’m just trying,
And my brain is frying,
To kick the ball,
I’m not shopping at a mall.
Do I really want to do this?
Listening to the heat hiss.
My shoes are on,
I feel like I’m just the ball’s pawn.
The ball is angering me,
I just want to hit the dang tree.
I start to run,
I’m burning in the sun.
I kick the ball,
And I don’t stop to bawl.
I hit the tree smack!
And that ball bounces back.
I pick it up and I palm it in my hand.
I chuck it hard and it breaks my wristband.
The ball’s now in the pond,
Until then I wasn't fond,
Of the stupid ball not going where I please,
And hitting the trees.
I yell in success,
And that ball
I detest,
Leaving it where it lay,
On that very sunny day.
