Teammates
Teammates
On the field or in the classroom
You are my friends
My brothers
My pride
You are my teammates.
I get to deal with you every day
We might fight, tease, shout
But our bond will never be broken.
We share a love
That’s what keeps us close.
What keeps us close is past that love
Past that field
That ball
Those games
but through that sweat
We see our true colors
Nobody else sees us like this.
We see competition
Sometimes in ourselves
But we always find a way to overcome
We might win
We might lose
It happens to everyone
Just know they are always by your side.
They might fall
Pick them up
It doesn’t matter who or why
because they are your brothers
Your pride
Your friends
It doesn’t matter what team
or sport you play
He’s your pride
Your friend
Your brother
Your teammate
