AWE Struck seashell
A seashell that used to belong to crystal waters
A shell that stood out amongst the others
A shell was so precious that day
Shimmering in the washed out sun
Now a shell at the bottom of an abandoned drawer.
A seashell that’s no longer showcased to the world
A piece of magnificent art hidden in stillness
All that perfection seen no more.
A seashell
Beautiful , masterpiece
Of Florida’s coast
That day taking it home
Turns to months later
…it’s wishing it was home
Back in the beautiful awe struck waters of Florida
Now nobody’s staring at it in awe,
Nobody’s picking it up feeling its rigid textures
Nobody can see that amazing seashell
Down in a dark, hidden, and abandoned drawer.
