I Will Never Love You
  I will never love you
I may like you very much
But it will never be love
  I’m sorry.
You are kind and you are good
And I am happy around you
But goodness and kindness are not enough
And I am sorry for that
I need someone that thinks a step ahead
  One that pushes me forward
To reach conclusions that are hard but true
Like the fact that I cannot love you
That is not who you are, please do not even try
Our lives are coming to a fork in the road
You must go one way and I, the other
We mustn’t hold each other back
I cannot have any ties to home
I’m sorry I refuse to love you
But here and now we can exist
Happy memories in sun bathed days
Let us not cut these last days short
Let us sit together in these brief forevers
Please do not be terribly hurt
These words do not mean to wound
The fault is not yours, merely mine
But know I regret not loving you
