Black Queen

I’m stuck in this world.
A world that’s not my own
In this world nothing is fair
I’m stuck in a blinded society
How can one become so judgmental if they can only see the world through glazed eyes?
We’re so quick to say this and tell that, but let me tell you,
You don’t know my struggle
Day in came troubles
Day out brought hardship
Were you there?
So don’t sit here like you care
I come from anger,
But I’ll never let that shape where I’m going
You judge my voice and my height
All out of spite
Let me just ask you…
Why are you so insecure?
Is it that you don’t like yourself?
Do you despise yourself?
Are you uncomfortable?
What’s wrong with you?
Don’t ruin mine
Don’t be so blind
Just look inside
Black Queen open your eyes
Let no one take your pride
Don’t let society break you down
Put on your crown
You’re perfect just the way you are
Baby girl…
Just smile.

I like this piece because a lot of black girls don't have the confidence that they need, so i think that this poem is motivational.
