I come from being known for remarkable dates
I come from the murder mitten
I come from playing with stray kittens
I come from the 5 great lakes
I come from eating pork and beans, not steaks

I come from the struggle
I come from growing up; you had to have a hustle
I come from the hood
I come from where everybody made for everybody was good

I come from a family of 4, two sisters one brother
I come from only being raised by my mother
I come from being the worse to the best
I come from being taught “never settle for less”
I come from a rough life, but I’m still here
  I am glad I survived.
