Years later I smile and think of that journey.
I smile to show how much I grew and became smarter.
I  remember the days that my teachers helped me out when I got emotional.

I remember my fourth grade teacher who became a dentist.
I remember my third grade who treated us with a chocolate fountain
when we were good.
I remember my sixth grade teacher who loved Middle-Eastern food
but was a vegan.

Years later I remember who were important in my life and who was not.
I remember how I was bullied just because I got good grades and was
focusing on my work.
I remember how I was called on because I was fat.

Years later I still remember that if I got hurt I would cry.
If I got talked about I would cry.
But now I do not care.

Years later I see that my elementary friends did not really
care about me.
They only cared for what candy I was going to share
with them.
So I do not care about them.

Years later I realized that they do not mean anything to me
the only thing that means to me are the people who I care about.
The only people I care about are the people who
care about me.
Such as my family and friends.
