Broken Man
BROKEN MAN
What can break a man?
A brick, a bat? Of course,
But what breaks a man down?
People’s opinions, thoughts, and his own
Each of those may be combated,
Fought, beaten down, destroyed.
Something greater,
A thing even more scary.
SILENCE
The building blocks of insanity.
Without it we wouldn't understand each other,
we wouldn’t feel the beauty in noise.
We use it to think, to ponder mysteries,
solving them and pressing forth.
But when it’s too quiet and it sets in.
The same thoughts and dreams that once fought for you, turn
changing day to night.
good to bad.
Blessings to curses.
The thoughts attack, breaking any man down.
To pieces
Ever so slowly.
