my musicc
you don't see the end of things
the circuitry of your brain
doesn't work that way.
Instead, you choose
to seek me in my polarized state;
I am dormant, inactive,
frozen-to-death
clammy skin
staccato heartbeat
But you choose to surrender
of your own will
to the chills
that encompass
my movement
they are drawn into
you like a labored breath
to the lungs;
hitting your veins.
This isn't natural,
none of it.
But you'd rather drown
in me
we both bring out the
worst in each other
dragging our souls down
into the depths of hell
deep as the Earth's core itself
then admit for a second
that you didn't need me
as much as I needed you
which used to be something
lighter, airier than what I'd ever
felt now.
