the final bell rings
you curse at it silently
only because it means
you have to go
home

 

home
silent screaming
constant conflict
go and cry
nobody cares

 

home
helpless minor
freedom deprived
you’re just a kid
you don’t understand

 

home
hurtful threats
combative family
why cant you be
more like your sister

 

home
shut up and
go to your room

 

home

that bruise isn't bad

get over yourself

 

home
you’re worthless

 

home
unable to be loved

 

what happens when
“home”
is the last place
you ever want to be?
