20 feet deep
She felt like she was 20 feet deep.
The pain closing in on her like water.
No light which was the hope for life.
No chance of survival.
For not only was she 20 feet deep,
She was weighted down.
Drug to the bottom slowly by people filled with hate.
With no chance of survival.
She might have been 20 feet deep.
Poisoned by the water she used to drink,
The words she used to speak,
With no chance of survival.
She wanted to be 20 feet deep.
Wishing for the pain to end.
Wishing she had never fell in the water.
With no chance of survival.
She was 6 feet deep.
Peaceful with her demons at rest.
Laying eerily still.
With no need for survival.
