Barefoot on the dock
Dangling my feet in the crystal clear waters for answers
Why isn’t nature this clarifying?
Instead, I have a tingling of uncertainty running through my veins
My mind is like an engine that is about to blow up but needs a little push
Dragonflies swarm around in a more organized fashion than I’ll ever be
Sounds of animal calls and responses
Open waves of the river spreading their love
If nature is as simple as it seems than………………….
Why am I stuck?

The author's comments:

I wrote this camp on a hike in summer camp. The dock that I stopped at to write this poem was like any other dock but I had some inclination to write a poem in my notebook. I carry my notebook everywhere becasue I don't know when inspiration hits me. This poem is just random thoughts in my head mixed together. My poem was put together kind of like life, random!
