Myself and I
When I look in the mirror,
I'm torn in two.
Am I me?
Or am I you?
You try a smile,
I just frown.
It feels like we
Are upside down.
It isn't fair!
It isn't right.
You and I
Are day and night.
While I am quiet,
You are loud.
"It's not perfect."
You are proud.
You're the mighty
I'm the meek.
You know you're strong
I think I'm weak.
I am worried
You are not.
I feel friendless
You have lots.
I don't talk much.
"That's so nice!"
Yet I am brilliant,
And you are bright.
We are twins
Inside each other
Incomplete
Without the other.

I wrote this ages ago but I still feel this way most of the time. I don't think anyone has just one side to them.
