Borrowed Time
The waves drown out my long – dead cries,
Drifting through the indigo haze of my assault.
Locked in the embrace of a withering child,
I thank him for his baby blue glow.
The vibrant sky burrowing deep into my heart,
Awash with hesitation and longing.
Royal blue droplets cascade in broken formation,
Pleading for my borrowed time.
