One Morning
One morning I woke up and I was no longer there
There was a crease in the sheets where I usually lay
Where was my body?
I tried to move my arms and legs
But found that I had none
I am nothing
I am everything
I am a breath of air
I am a lover’s sigh
I am passive gestures of disappointment
I am muted condolences at a funeral
I am a shouting match, all rage and passion
I fill the corners of every room
I live in your lungs
I am nothing
I am everything
I am a breath of air
I don’t know what I am
