Hold On
They say the pain will end.
They tell you to just hold on.
They say it will get better.
But no one said when.
She wants to give up.
She says she’s not strong enough.
She can’t take much more.8
But she didn’t tell.
They didn’t realize she was drowning.
They didn’t know she let go.
They could’ve saved her.
But no one asked how.
She finally gave up.
She whispered “Goodbye”.
She wanted to hold on.
But she just didn’t know how.
