I Remember
I remember
I remember their laughter
Their hatred
How they tore up every ounce of self-worth I had, and left behind the ruins
I remember the feelings
I turned to stone, to concrete
Tears fell down my face, however, I could not feel them
It was as if I was an angel in a graveyard
As the rain poured, I stood there, strong, emotionless, not feeling
At least that’s what they thought
But I remember.

I wrote this piece, inspired by events that happened when I was younger. I was bullied, and I still to this day remember the emotions and pain that accompanied it.
