I Am From
I am from a place called home.
Outgoing and tall is who I am
and I don’t give a damn.
I am from a miniature farm,
where animals mean no harm.
They are smart and wise,
while being chased by flies.
I am from a time comes to say goodbye.
My heart breaks
thinking when we must depart.
Safe and happy they will be,
questions, mystery, uncertainty will set me free.
I am from two older sisters.
Taller and wiser am I
As we laugh and yell
Sometimes we dwell.
I am from supportive parents who only wish the best for me
They are saddened by the thought of setting me free.
Nine months until graduation
How quickly time has gone by.
No matter what my future holds,
I’m excited to see it all unfold!
