Silence
Do not ask me why I choose not to speak
A majority of the time,
For my thoughts are rampant up there.
My mind is not a barren desert,
Dry and pleaing for someone to talk to me
And ask why I don’t say much,
For my answer will be,
“Maybe,
I find beauty in silence.”
And silence is quite often a beautiful thing,
So I wish for you to leave me alone with my
“What if’s”
And “Why’s”
And “Shoulda, woulda, coulda’s.”
Please.
