In a World of Wires

In a world of wires
and cables galor
nothing uses creativty
everything is such a bore
the people don’t think
or act on their own
everything is in unison
all actions are that of a clone
the thoughts are dull
and minds washed gray
nothing extraordinary
happens in a day
machines are the rulers
no one questions their knowledge
for we created them
they all know an unwritten pledge
there is no communication
or emotions to be shared
the robotic-like ways
transferred onto the people who cared
this was all for ‘convenience’
and to make life more at ease
for the people were too stressed
but now are they pleased?
they feel nothing they once did
the wires run the town
people are so emotionless
theres no way to feel up or down
in this artificial world
never does one think of the past
this here is our future
if our ignorance continues to last
