Who are you?
September 7, 2014
Your eyes tower above our heads, keeping us safe and secure
Providing us havens and memories we think of as so obscure
The genie of wishes, the stranger undefined
Oh who are you, the one who appears so kind
We long to prove you are real, and not a tale untrue
We speak to you, why don't you answer, don't you have a voice too?
What has the world done to you for you to create such misfortune?
Oh, powerful Lord, we believe you exist, the enormous great proportion
Our ears are perked, our face ghost white
Why, oh dear, can't you answer in our plight?
Why are there floods and deaths and life?
Why is there fear, sadness, and strife?
Why is this dog moving around in mud dabs?
Why is his fur a darker shade than other Labs?
Why am I here? Who am I?
Why am I in this form, why do I cry?
Why do I change moods so easily, why, oh why?
Why am I looking up at the sky?
Are you a man? Why not a female?
Why is the bread I'm eating stale?
What is my purpose? What is the reason?
Why do feel so attracted to men?
Where are you, dear one?
Are you there, it's me
I'm here! Where are you?
