Smile
What is smile? Would it be fair to say that the majority of smiles are fake? I know most of the time mine are. A smile Is like a quiet reassurance. A smile lets people say things like "s/he seemed so happy" and "it didn't seem like there was anything wrong". A smile lets people pretend that everything is normal. That girl in the park might very well be homeless, your teacher might have a cheating husband or a dying parent, you friend might be being abused, yet they all smile. A smile is not about the person, it's about society. A smile makes people feel better. A smile is what hides the giant monster in many. Sometimes a smile is the loudest scream. What behind your smile?
