I lost my memory
I lost my memory
Again
I got a new phone
Big whoop
But you don't understand
In this world
You can save a moment
Take a picture
Document it for life
Of a conversation
Or even just thoughts that cross your mind in the dead of night
This is a world within worlds
Where your world can be connected to another
Some place you wouldn't think twice about
Not in the "real world"
Where maybe at one second
You remember
Something
A face
And you try the best you can to express what you feel
But all that's around
Is a rectangular object
A small device
You don't have pen
And even if you did
The motion of your wrist will take your mind to another place
Of writing
Another time where you were forced
To write?
To spell your name correctly
I'm gone
My mind is in another thought
Why can't I complete a sentence
Because I don't remember
I lost my memory
Again

There's this thing called a train of thought that I must not have due to some head injuries I've experienced throughout my life. One of which has been the least traumatic but most significant. I was in a severe car accident when I was about 5 years old where I was ejected from the car for not having a seatbelt on and my skull broke through one of the windows. This accident killed my dad and caused me to lose any childhood memories since and after then. I have also had some minor concussions since then and just have an overall terrible memory that affects my every-day life. In addition, I apologize for any spelling/grammar mistakes or if you simply did not enjoy reading it. I did just copy it straight out of my phone notes and it was very late when I wrote it.
