She wasn't okay.
The wind was howling
She shivered
People asked if she was cold
She said she was fine
She lied
She sat down at dinner
Empty plate
Friends asked if she was hungry
She said she ate before
She spoke loud
to quiet the screams her stomach cried
She lied
In his car
His lips where they should not have been
She was not okay
He did not ask
He did not care
And neither did she
