The Proposal
I thought of you up all night
Hoping that my choice was right
Don’t fail me now good o’life
For tomorrows night would change my whole life
My eyes glistened
At the sight of her face
As my ears listened
To the words of her heart
My heart was racing
At a lovely pace
The confession was here
Make no mistake
I took a knee
Taking her hands
As she blushed a crimson red
Realising what was heading her way
I took out a ring
From my pocket beneath
As I proposed to her
With a cheerful glee
Tears were shed
As she said yes
Taking the ring
Into her own hands
She was so beautiful that night
Like those infinite stars which hung above us
She was a queen
She was my queen
She kissed me on the lips
As I held her more tightly than ever
My decision was right
I love you with all my might
Love may hurt one in many ways
But it would fill you with joy one fine day
By just hearing her assent
It was then my life was changed
