A Memory
Everyone has a memory.
Memories that are notable:
Some that aren't so great.
Some can make you smile,
Like walking down the aisle.
Others much like being in a rush,
Forgetting your cherry crush.
The memory I have of you
Seems like it’s all still new.
If you only had a clue
How much I really missed you.
I would turn back the clock
To see you one last time.
A time before you got sick...
You were one tough chick.
I don't have much memory of you being well;
The last one I have is before you passed
When we would have a blast.
As you lay in the casket,
Tissues went into the waste basket.
Like a never ending nightmare
It wasn't fair,
You were no longer here to care.
Although I know you’re in Heaven looking down,
In your pretty white gown.
Thanks to the condition
Everybody was wishin’
That you wouldn't be put six feet under.

This came to me when I had to write something for class. It is what came to mind as I thought about my Aunt.
