Inequality of Fate

I don't know why stuff happens

Why pain was thrust upon

Magnificent people

That don't deserve it

I don't know why pedophiles and criminals

Walk around this world in freedom

When innocent children

Are fighting for their life

I don't know how this world works

Or why we become so attached to a person

When we will all end up

Somewhere only we know

I don't  know why there are 7 billion souls

On this earth

And yet only a few that

I would give my life for

I don't know why we really bother with love

Or why we feel pain and hurt

Due to other people.

I mean why do we care?

I guess the only thing I can understand

Is that love can cause happiness in the deepest crevices

And maybe that's why people love

As a sort of alternate to sadness and hate
