The warmth of the sun

Brings the fun

Children running about in the fields

And their parents who yield

The raging blooms

They explode with vibrant hues

and enchanting fumes.

Spring chases away the blues.

The sun comes blazing with vigour

Beams of heat flung in a mighty whir

The asphalt sizzles

And melts with a fizzle

Pop goes one more

Chilling refreshing drink

A nice day at the seashore

Summer is scorching pink.

An artist’s brush

Sweeps around the bush

Painting leaves in glorious shades

As the luscious green fades

Leaves layer the undergrowth

Leaves blown off by the pilfering, crisp wind

It starts to chill, and there’s little growth

Autumn is here, and brown’s to stay

Its getting frosty

And the birds flee

Snowflakes rain down from the skies

As angels they disguise

But when the frigid wind turns

Into a monstrous nightmare

Everyone runs

Winter, when white reigns.
