The Only Fish For Me

If love is but an ocean and we are the fish,
Then why are you swimming while I'm belly up gasping for air?
If love is hard,
Why can I not be with the one who makes it easy?
If I'm "just a child"
Why do i feel as if lost in the wrong era of time?
Chains and restrains may knock me down.
But I'm just waiting for the perfect moment to stand.
