The Garden of the Single Rose

I stand here alone,
The only rose in the garden.
I could give up the fight
And die like others,
But I don't.
I have thorns, but I will not sting you,
Even if you sting me.
I will never give up,
Never give in;
I am too strong
And too beautiful
For all of that.
People may laugh,
may make fun,
But I will not give in.
Mean comments can be made,
Still I stand tall,
In the
Garden of the Single Rose,
Me.
I am left standing alone.
Others gave up,
They gave in,
But no sir, not I,
In the
Garden of the Single Rose.
